Reaching out for counselling isn't always an easy step. You may have been living with difficult thoughts or emotions for some time, or perhaps something has happened recently that has left you feeling overwhelmed, anxious or uncertain. Sometimes you know exactly what is troubling you; at other times you simply know that life doesn't feel quite right.
Whatever has brought you here, you don't have to face it alone.
Counselling offers a confidential, non-judgemental space where you can slow down, talk openly and begin to make sense of your experiences. Together, we can explore what is happening in your life, understand the patterns that may be holding you back and discover healthier ways of coping that feel right for you.
People come to counselling for many different reasons:
You may be experiencing anxiety, stress, depression, bereavement, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, trauma, health concerns, menopause or other significant life changes. You may be living with the effects of long-term illness, navigating neurodiversity, or simply feeling stuck and unsure of what comes next. Whatever your circumstances, my approach is always tailored to you as an individual rather than to a diagnosis or label.
There is no expectation that you arrive with all the answers. You don't need to know exactly what to say, and there is no right or wrong place to begin. We will work at a pace that feels comfortable for you, creating a safe and supportive environment where you can explore your thoughts and feelings with confidence.
If you're wondering whether counselling could help, a free introductory phone call is an opportunity to ask questions, discuss what has brought you here and begin to decide whether we're the right fit for one another. There is no obligation - just the chance to take that first step towards understanding yourself and moving forward.
Please feel free to enquire further informally with no commitments.
